FLUID KARMA, LA 2024

2024: Fluid Karma

Set in 2024, when society in the United States has grown unstable due to climate change, growing wealth inequality, and corporate greed, Fluid Karma takes the form of an exhibition staged in a modernist gem in the Hollywood Hills, simulating Richard Kelly’s 2006 film Southland Tales.

28 February - 2 March 2024 at Sapling Gallery, LA and online – with Petra Cortright, Cecilia Granara, Hart Lëshkina, Estrid Lutz, R. Lord, Gabriel Mestre Arrioja, Bryan Morello, Andrew Norman Wilson, Victor Nwankwo, and Amy Steel.

2023: Gesture

Each gesture constitutes a process, one might almost say a drama, of its own. The stage on which that drama is played out is the world theatre, whose backdrop is the sky. On the other hand the sky is nothing more than a backdrop; studying it on its own terms would mean putting a frame around the piece of painted cloth and hanging it in a gallery. – Walter Benjamin on Franz Kafka (The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction)

The mark is the cut in the surface of the body of infrastructure space. Curated for for thecurated.app with artists: Ry David Bradley, Petra Cortright, Miltos Manetas, Sara Ludy, Priscilla Tea, and Rita Vitorelli with Harm van den Dorpel.

2020-2022: The Composing Rooms Book

The documents the curatorial project The Composing Rooms which opened in London in 2010 along with several essays that capture the context of contemporary art at the time. Essays, images, and texts capture how the internet played a significant role in the emergence of a new way of finding, making, and displaying art, as well as how that shifted over the decade.
