2014: Rooms
After renovations The Composing Rooms opened the ambitious Showroom project in Berlin, intended to avoid openings in favour of events and chance encounters. Mai Ueda opened the space with a series of tea ceremonies incorporating the idea of the readymade. room.thecomposingrooms.com the online exhibition space opened simultaneously, hosting solo exhibitions by Sara Ludy and Harm van den Dorpel.

Material is an experiment and analysis of in our engagement with art in the information age. Websites, such as Artsy and Contemporary Art Daily, boast democratisation and accessibility to art and exhibitions via their documented images, but, as photography changed the meaning of painting, the networked image has changed our reception of art, at least via its documented form.

Mai Ueda: Tea Ceremony with Ready Mades

As the Showroom is a space of, in Mai's words, pe of quinternet reflectionpe of qu her Tea Ceremony will focus less on pe of qutypical Japanese culture, such as origami and kimono, but would like to share the real spirit of it by bringing together worldly lifepe of qu, an IRL network.
